Where's the
best place to store the container/ bucket/ barrel ?
In a place
that is not exposed to direct sunlight, but in a warm place. Can in the kitchen,
behind the house, under a tree, etc.. Because there are no nasty smells with
Bokashi composting system, we can easily keep in the room.
What can be
put in container/ bucket/ bin / Bokashi compost bin?
Any type of
organic material produced in the kitchen such as :
- The rest of the vegetables and fruits
- tealeaf
- tea bag
- A small amount of paper
- coffee grounds
- Onion, lemon and garlic
- cutlet
- Seafood / fish
- Cooked food waste
- Goat manure
- Chicken manure
- Cattle dung
- Rabbit manure
- etc.
Is there
something that should not be included in the container/ bucket/
bin / Bokashi compost bin?
Do not add
any liquids such as bone or detergents or other harmful chemicals.
How long
will it take to fill the container/ bucket/ barrel ?
It really
depends on how much garbage that you have. A guide will average 2 to 4 weeks.
Depending on your ability. Unless you make Bokashi of goat manure, poultry,
cattle or rabbits you.
Why trash in
one week - already almost fully visible ?
Because the
garbage is still there are a lot of water content. You need to press a little
water out
What are the
Bokashi mix ?
The program
consists of bran, molasses and microorganisms. When the mixture is inserted
Bokashi container/ bucket/ barrel, microbes begin to grow and will soon begin
a process of fermentation
What is a
microbe ?
Microbe is an
organism that is so and only just visible with a microscope. Microbes in the
Bokashi mix derived from 3 different groups - lactobacilli, fungi / yeast, and
basil phototropic. This combination has been shown to rapidly decrease ( mem -
fermentation ) of organic waste while on the other hand suppresses the growth
of other harmful organisms.
Are microbes
harmful to me or my pet - animal ?
No, these
microbes are very common in nature and are considered non - pathogenic. Each
one has a specific function and they work together well. They are found in
foods we eat such as cheese, yogurt, bread and wine.
How should I
store Bokashi ?
You can
store them in a resealable bag or move them into the container / container /
bucket / barrel airtight. Not exposed to direct sunlight and away from heat.
Because.. Ultraviolet light will destroy microbes. Try to stay dry.
Is Bokashi
should immediately use?
No. Bokashi
has an annual endurance up.
How often do
I give Bokashi fertilizer for my plants ?
As often as
you like - plants love it !
There is a
white fungus growing on Bokashi. What is it ?
White
mushrooms is a good indicator that the fermentation process is working well.
What are the
signs that something is wrong ?
If the
material is fermented already turning blue or black because you do not use
enough or you do not close the microbial vat / container / bucket properly so
that too much air in the container / bucket / bin.
What is the
anaerobic fermentation ?
Technically,
the fermentation process requires only a little oxygen. This fermentation
process works best when very low levels of oxygen and is inhibited when oxygen
lot.
Why waste
materials look the same after fermentation ?
Bokashi
fermentation is a process of preservation. Just like pickles or pickled onions
still look like that before preservation, so that organic waste you will look
as if nothing happened. It is however structurally and chemically changed
enough.
How long
container/ bucket/ barrel full of fermented food waste is ready to be given
to the ground?
3 x 24 hour
period - 14 days is the minimum time required, adjust the type of materials do
you use to make Bokashi. Pembokaran time can be extended as long as the
container / bucket / barrel remains airtight.
What happens
when I insert Bokashi into the ground ?
Microbes in
the soil will quickly convert organic waste to nutrient rich soil for your
plants. In the figure, the soil microbes can be anywhere, from 1,000 to
1,000,000 times more with fermented. They will soon begin to reduce their waste
products of fermentation and rebuild soil microbes and nutrients more.
Bokashi
compost is acidic when first, but became neutral after 7-10 days. Make sure the
roots are not in direct contact with the compost as it can burn the roots,
especially if the plants are very young. New plants are rooted primarily stress
when software can receive Bokashi first so the best time pwadah / bucket /
tongian these plants is two weeks. Such as vegetables, tomatoes etc.
How best to
add Bokashi in the garden plants ?
Dig holes or
trenches as deep as 20-25 cm. Add a Bokashi compost and mix in some ground.
Cover with the remaining soil.
I do not
have a garden but have a keg / container / bucket / barrel Bokashi ?
Bokashi
compost should not be applied to a garden or fields, can plant flowers in pots
at home.
Good luck
making Bokashi. HCS SOT microbial decomposer with superior
